Stall, Circus Storytime and Book Signing at Brompton Annual Open Day!
After a two-year wait, Brompton Annual Open Day is back and I'm thrilled to have been invited back. Not only will I be there with my stall, but I am also hosting a Circus Storytime for the children in the beautiful chapel and I will be signing discounted copies of my new picture book, Billy Joins the Circus!
Brompton Cemetery is a stunning Victorian burial ground and a Royal Park. It is one of Britain’s oldest and most distinguished garden cemeteries. The cemetery is Grade I Listed on the Historic England Register of Historic Parks and Gardens, and all of the cemetery buildings are Grade II Listed. The Friends of Brompton Cemetery work to preserve this remarkable site and help to restore and maintain the cemetery’s buildings, monuments and landscape. They offer visitors Sunday afternoon guided tours, group tours at any convenient time in the week, and a varied programme of events and activities throughout the year including the Brompton Annual Open Day.
Circus Storytime in the Chapel
Join me with your little ones for a fun musical interactive Circus Storytime of listening, learning, drawing, drama, singing and dancing in Brompton Chapel!
Children will:
- Love hearing me read aloud my picture book, Billy Joins the Circus
- Enjoy seeing the colourful pages and meeting the characters in the story
- Learn about the circus and the inspiration for writing the book
- Create their own drawing of the characters or a scene from the story
- Listen to the music audiobook and love singing and dancing along
- Have the chance to take home a special discounted signed copy of my picture book packed with fun gifts and activities inside

Enjoy a rare opportunity to visit the cemetery’s historic catacombs. Guided tours of the catacombs take place every half-hour from 11.30 am until 4.30 pm. There will be exhibitions, stalls, family fun, music and something for everyone to enjoy. Pop by the Music Audio Stories stall to say hello and get your picture book signed. This is going to be a wonderful family day out.
