Imaginative Flair

I was delighted when I was invited to take part in this year's Ealing Book Festival. I was selected, with four other children's authors, to do 'Storytime for Little Readers' at The Dominion Centre.

The purpose of the event was to inspire, teach, and encourage little ones to read. Each author was able to make a presentation, introduce children to their picture books, and teach them about the characters and themes of their books. At the end, children were invited to meet the authors and get signed copies of their books.

Ealing Book Festival is about inspiring stories and inspiring people, and each author at this event did exactly that. Our presentations all offered something a little different, making the event varied, imaginative, and super fun. It was wonderful to see so many colourful picture books, all created with such joy, lined up together for children to look at.

This was my first event of 2026, and I must say, I greatly enjoyed it. I haven't taken part in many events like this, and it was lovely to meet other authors and chat with them about their books and their 'Author Journeys'. Thank you to Catherine and all the lovely families who attended.

I am now preparing for one of my biggest events of the year, and I can't wait to show you all the magical things I have been working on.
